Overview
Dexter monitors every transaction through the facilitator and alerts you when something needs attention. We filter out noise (like buyers with empty wallets) and only notify you about actionable issues.
What You'll Get Notified About
| Alert Type | What It Means | Your Action |
|---|---|---|
| ๐ง Bad Transaction | Payment transaction was built incorrectly | Check your x402 integration code |
| โ๏ธ Setup Issue | x402 configuration problem | Verify facilitator URL and payment requirements |
| ๐ข Network Slow | Solana was congested | Buyer can retry (nothing for you to do) |
| ๐ก Connection Issue | Temporary network problem | Usually resolves itself |
| ๐ด Our Problem | Something broke on Dexter's end | We're already on it |
What You WON'T Get Notified About
- Buyer has no funds - Not your problem. The buyer's wallet is empty.
- No token account - Buyer never had USDC. Not actionable for you.

Understanding Alert Messages
Example: Setup Issue
What this means: Your server is requesting a fee payer that isn't registered with the facilitator. Double-check your x402 integration.
Example: Bad Transaction
What this means: The transactions your buyers are creating have invalid instructions or account references. Review your client-side code.
Example: Network Slow
What this means: Nothing is wrong with your code. Solana was just slow. The buyer can retry and it will likely succeed.
Alert Batching
To avoid spam, alerts are batched:
- Within 1 minute: Multiple errors from the same seller are grouped into one message
- During network issues: If Solana is having a network-wide problem, individual "Network Slow" alerts are suppressed (you'll see a global status instead)

Error Reference
๐ง Bad Transaction
Cause: Transaction instructions are malformed or reference invalid accounts.
Common fixes:
- Ensure you're using the correct token mint (USDC:
EPjFWdd5AufqSSqeM2qN1xzybapC8G4wEGGkZwyTDt1v) - Verify account addresses are valid Solana public keys
- Check that the payer has an associated token account
โ๏ธ Setup Issue
Cause: x402 protocol configuration problem.
Common fixes:
- Verify
facilitatorUrlpoints tohttps://x402.dexter.cash - Check that
payTois your correct wallet address - Ensure payment requirements match your pricing
- Verify the signature scheme matches your network (Solana vs Base)
๐ข Network Slow
Cause: Solana network congestion caused the transaction to expire.
Not your fault. Buyer should retry. If this happens frequently during normal network conditions, consider:
- Using priority fees
- Implementing retry logic on the client side
๐ก Connection Issue
Cause: Temporary network connectivity problem.
Usually resolves itself. If persistent, check status.solana.com for network issues.
๐ด Our Problem
Cause: Internal facilitator error.
We're on it. No action needed from you. Our team is automatically notified and investigating.
